Paris Shopping Guide ✨
My favorite city on the planet!

When you step foot in Paris you immediately understand why it’s the fashion capital of the world. Everything is beautiful — the people, the architecture, the stores, the streets. Travel has always inspired our styling and Paris may be at the top of the list of inspirational cities.
We are not in any way claiming to experts on Paris shopping - but, we did do some scouting, have been a total of six times between the three sisters, and have put together a pretty comprehensive list of all the stores we’ve visited and loved! Please comment if you have additional recommendations — we would love to hear and our goal is for this to be an ongoing Poema girls list that we add to as y’all tell us your recommendations, too!
We also understand that going to Paris may not be in the cards for everyone — so check out our Instagram posts here and here for how to bring Paris to you through style. Also, we’ve linked Instagram accounts for a lot of the brands below — it’s amazing the inspiration you can gather from virtual window shopping.
We also follow Habitually Chic who has a guide to Paris that you can purchase — she has wonderful recommendations and her guide includes fashion favorites, but also restaurants, tips to navigate Paris, recommendations for pastries, souvenirs, you name it. She’s the expert on all things chic Paris if you’re looking for more!
Without further adieu — P A R I S.
First, HOW to shop in Paris. Because it can be overwhelming.
Our favorite way to shop and explore Paris in general is to enter a location into Maps and then wander up and down the streets in that area. It’s impossible to list every boutique and cute store to go to and it will also be impossible for you to visit all that are listed below…so two tips. 1. Make a rule for yourself (we do this when we are traveling!) if you see a store or boutique that looks cute, just go in! Say yes to everything. You never know what you will discover…and then promise you’ll share your finds with us! 2. Research beforehand a few brands or stores that you’re dying to go to! If you don’t, you’ll be glued to your Maps trying to zig zag from location to location. We promise you’ll discover amazing things along the way if you start with just one area.
In our opinion, the best arrondissements (neighborhoods) for shopping are the 1st, 3rd, and 6th. Below you’ll find stores in these areas and what we like each of them for.
Rue Saint Honoré + the 1st arrondissement
The 1st is kind of the most classic Paris in my opinion, designer shopping with all of the high fashion boutiques, nice hotels, and restaurants. Rue Saint Honoré is a street name that you could search for in your Maps. When you arrive, you’ll find Chanel (the original is 31 Rue Cambon and Coco had an apartment right above the store!), Goyard, Chloe, Celine, Fendi, and the list goes on. It’s a beautiful street and definitely worth checking out even if you aren’t planning to buy a designer item on your trip — it’s worth it for the inspo and the photos and in my experience all of the sales associates are so kind if you want to talk about the collections or have questions about the brands. My favorite coffee shop Café Nuances is close by if you need to caffeinate — they are also one of the few cafes in Paris in my experience that offer iced drinks and milk alternatives. I love their honey cinnamon latte and they have several locations. Also Cedric Grolet is in this area, a famous patisserie — have not tried, but if you’re in the area you might as well!
Timeless Pearly* is a playful jewelry brand that is also in this area and you can make an appointment to visit on their site. It’s free to make an appointment for their showroom — you can make your own jewelry from scratch! You pick the chain, the charms, and they put it together right there for you to take home that day. This would be a fun activity to do if you’re with friends, sisters, or your mom. You can also shop online!
*(This is not a storefront, it’s a studio! I’m pretty sure you cannot walk in. DM them to make an appointment.)
You’ll also find Isabel Marant, ba&sh, Golden Goose (the Golden Goose Paris perfume smells exactly like how I imagine Paris), Maje, Diptyque, Byredo, and more in the 1st. I also love the interior design of Hotel Costes if you want to walk in and look around. They sell their signature scent as a candle and a soap if you want to have a chic souvenir. They just did a super chic collab with Olivia von Halle for branded pajamas.
The Marais
Before I even went to Paris, the vibe of the Marais is what came to mind when we thought about shopping in Paris. If you’ve been to SoHo in NYC, it’s somewhat similar, but much more charming and just insanely gorgeous. You’ll find cobblestone streets and storefronts for likely any mid-tier designer you can think of, but also the cutest Parisian boutiques!
Here’s a few that I think are worth checking out…
ChiChi Castelnango — The cutest lingerie and swimwear. Have bought several swimsuits from them! The sizing can be weird, just a heads up if you ever decide to order online.
Bonastre — Cool purses by a Spanish x French brand. They were having a sample sale in July when I was there.
Bimba y Lola — a Spanish brand, but it’s become a sort of tradition for us to find one in whatever city we’re in. It’s a very bright, colorful brand! I always buy one of their cosmetics bag when I see one I like.
The Hoff Brand — a fun and more affordable alternative to Golden Goose if you’re looking for something more unique.
Hogan — another elevated sneaker brand.
Tara Jarmon — cute, kind of funky French ready to wear. She also has a section at Galeries Lafayette on Hausmann.
Jimmy Fairly — fun sunglasses! It’s a French brand with an English name. I bought a pair in Paris last time I was there and wear them all the time — they’ve held up well! Prices are around $150 USD, so not horrible for sunnies.
Flabelus — a modern take on traditional Spanish espadrilles. I think their store is really beautiful.
Repetto — started as a pointe shoe brand for ballerina dancers, but has started offering everyday ballerina inspired flats and activewear. You’ll see dancers in the store getting fitted for real pointe shoes. Not the best for wide feet!
Livy — lingerie inspired athleisure and bodysuits, turtlenecks. Super interesting concept.
En Voiture SIMONE — loved this store. I bought a vintage belt! If you walk the block around this area there are other super cool vintage stores.
Chez Snow Bunny — super curated, mostly designer vintage.
Louise Carmen — you can design your own notebook here. You pick the leather, the charms, the stamp, etc.
There’s also an Anine Bing, Axel Arigato, Maje, Sandro, ba&sh, & Other Stories, No Name and so much more in the Marais.
Get lunch at Breizh Crepes! I like the goat cheese + honey buckwheat galette and the salted caramel crepe for dessert. On my list is to try Chez Janou. Another lovely lunch spot is Comptoir Gourmet.
Saint-Germain
Another favorite area for shopping is the 6th arrondissement. To us, the 6th feels a bit more interior design, gallery, and home decor-focused than fashion, and it’s also a little quieter than the other areas we’ve previously mentioned. There’s some designer stores, independent stores, antique stores, and galleries.
Maison d’Isabelle — voted best croissant in Paris in 2018. Worth it! 8 min walk from Notre Dame. This is actually in the 6th arrondissement, but close-ish to Saint Germain.
Bon Marché — chic French department store.
Maria de la Orden — French x Spanish brand.
CityPharma — affordable French pharmacy. It’s a pretty big and a little overwhelming. If you’re not looking for something specific (I wasn’t) I would just ask a few of the sales associates for their favorite things to try. I love what they recommended! I have the NovExpert LipUp balm, an eye cream, and a retinol.
Still on my list…
Printemps — another chic department store
Nour Hammour — a fabulous outerwear brand that I love, but haven’t seen in person.
Marin Montagut — cute souvenirs
Musée YSL — there are two YSL museums and I have been to the one in Marrakech, which is absolutely gorgeous.
Puces de Saint Ouen — antique market
Everything on soco (aka sophie cohen)’s Paris list that I haven’t done yet! You can view her list here.
Bringing Paris to you…
I know a trip to Paris isn’t in the cards for everyone so here are a few ways I like to bring Paris to me and make my home feel a little more chic. We’ve curated the perfect Parisian playlist that’s on repeat in my house. I also love the Assouline coffee table books on Paris as well as this book — it’s a quick read about Parisian life, fashion, food, etc. by four friends, sometimes sarcastic, but cute and kind of like is Sex and the City was a book by four French friends instead.
Merci beaucoup!
